This policy explains what information KarMuqabla collects from students, teachers, parents, and school administrators, and how we use, share, and protect it — across the app, the web platform, and school-managed rollouts.
Overview
KarMuqabla (“we,” “our,” “the platform”) provides a learning and assessment app for students, along with tools for teachers, parents, and partner schools. This policy applies whenever you use the KarMuqabla app, website, or connected services, whether you signed up individually or through a school.
Who this policy covers
KarMuqabla serves several kinds of accounts, and this policy applies to all of them:

Information we collect
Account information
Name, date of birth or grade level, email or phone number, school and section (where applicable), and a password or one-time login code.
Learning activity
Topics viewed, videos watched, quiz answers and scores, tournament participation and results, worksheet downloads, coins earned, and time spent in the app.
Relationship data
Parent–child links, teacher–section assignments, and sponsor relationships between an account and the student(s) it supports.
Payment information
Where a package or coin purchase is made, we (or our payment processor) record transaction details. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
Device & usage data
App version, device type, general location (city-level), and diagnostic logs used to keep the service running and to fix bugs.
Children’s data & parental consent
Many KarMuqabla users are children under 18. Where a student account is created directly by a school, the school is responsible for obtaining any consent required under its own enrollment agreements. Where a student registers as an individual user, we require a linked parent or guardian account before full access is granted.
How we use information
- To deliver topics, videos, quizzes, worksheets, and tournaments appropriate to a student’s grade and section
- To show teachers progress for students in their assigned grades, subjects, and sections
- To show parents their own children’s activity and account details
- To operate coins, prizes, packages, and other paid entitlements
- To send notifications (such as tournament reminders) and respond to support requests
- To maintain platform security and investigate misuse
Third-party services
We work with a small number of infrastructure providers to run KarMuqabla. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function, and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes:
- Video hosting — for streaming lesson videos and secure playback
- Cloud storage & content delivery — for hosting public assets such as images and worksheets
- Push notifications — for delivering in-app and mobile alerts
- Payment processing — for handling package and coin purchases
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to understand which pages are useful. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly without them.
When we share information
We share information only in these circumstances: with a student’s own school and linked parents/teachers, with service providers under contract as described above, when required by law, or with your consent. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Data retention
We retain account and learning-activity data for as long as an account is active, and for a limited period after closure to handle disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support re-enrollment. School-provided data is retained according to the terms of that school’s partnership agreement.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls limiting who at KarMuqabla can view student data, and regular review of our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage users to choose strong passwords and report suspicious activity.
Your rights & choices
You can request a copy of the personal information linked to your account, ask us to correct inaccurate details, or request account deletion by contacting us using the details below. For student accounts created by a school, some requests may need to go through the school first.
Data provided by schools
When a school onboards through bulk import, it acts as the data controller for the student and staff records it provides, and KarMuqabla acts as a processor operating under the school’s instructions and our partnership agreement. See our School Policy for details specific to institutional partners.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, with the “last updated” date at the top of this page reflecting the most recent revision.
