How to Play Karmuqabla Tournaments

Karmuqabla.com believes that education should be fun which is why our slogan is “khel khel mein parhayee” or learn as you play. To make this possible, we have a KarMuqabla Non-Stop Tournament that turns your daily play into possibilities of winning competitions and exciting prizes. As you can see in the image above, there are three parts to the KM Non-Stop Tournament which you will find under the tournaments tab on the home page.

My Own Daily T20

This is our main entry level qualification round for prized events. The reason why it is called “My Own” is that you can choose whatever quiz you want to play and it will count towards your qualification for the prized events. When you click on the PLAY NOW button, it will take you to the Muqabla filter where you can choose which Muqabla you want to play. The Muqablas listed under the filter are just the latest ones to be uploaded. If you want to go directly to the Muqablas page, click on the long green More Muqablas button below the Muqabla icons.

Any time while playing your quiz, you can check your progress from the My Own Daily T20 Leaderboard at the bottom of the page.

If you qualify for the prized event, your name will automatically come up in the right hand side list titled Recent Qualifiers.

But in order to qualify, there are rules that you must keep in mind. Here they are:

  1. My Own Daily T20 is based on a minimum requirement of at least 20 quizzes.
  2. A maximum of 5 quizzes are counted from any one topic. If you play more than that in any one topic, it is great learning and practice and only the first 5 attempts will be counted for qualification.
  3. This means that you have to play 5 quizzes each in at least 4 different topics to qualify for the next round. It does not matter how you play it – you can play one game each in 20 different topics, 2 games each in 10 different topics or any other combination you want. But if you have played a total of 20 games in at least 4 different topics, you are eligible for qualification to the next round.
  4. Your total score at the end of 20 games must be more than 500 points. If you play 20 games but do not manage to score more than 500 points, you will not qualify.
  5. This is a qualification round only and there are no prizes – other than qualification – in this round.

Weekly ODI Showdown

This is the first of the two prized competitions in the KarMuqabla Non-Stop Tournament. It is open only to those who have qualified through the May Own Daily T20 route and whose names are displayed in the Recent Qualifiers list at the top right.

It is important to remember that this is a specially prepared quiz that only goes live at a fixed time and can only be played through the Weekly ODI Showdown page. The Play Now button will display a clock counting down the time when the quiz goes live and will turn into a Play Now button at the appropriate time.

The rules of playing the Weekly Showdown are as follows:

  1. The quiz can only be played via the Weekly ODI Showdown page. It does not appear anywhere else on the website.
  2. Since it is an ODI (One Day International), you have to play a minimum of 50 quizzes during the allotted time.
  3. The top 10 players of an ODI quiz will qualify for the Test Match Special that is hosted at the end of every month.
  4. The top 3 players will also be given attractive prizes.
  5. Weekly ODI Showdown goes live at 12 noon every Saturday and stays live till 5.30 p.m.

Test Match Special

This is the grand finale that takes place at the end of every month. Only those players who have qualified through the Weekly ODI Showdown route are eligible to take part in it. Their names can be seen in the Recent Qualifiers list at the top right. Any time while playing the quiz, you can check your progress from the ODI Showdown Leaderboard at the bottom of the page.

The rules for playing this quiz are very similar to that of a test match in cricket. Here they are:

  1. The test match consists of four innings.
  2. The timings for these innings are:
    • Ist  Innings – from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon
    • 2nd Innings – from 12:30 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.
    • 3rd Innings – from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
    • 4th Innings – from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m
  3. You have to play a minimum of 25 quizzes in each innings. You can play more but the limit of your play per innings is set at 30 quizzes.
  4. If you fail to complete any one innings, your results will not be eligible for prizes even if you top the leaderboard.
  5. Top three players of the Test Match Special will get attractive prizes.
